nah, I bought it in HK. Rolex in LA are ridiculously expensive. $5500 for a 16610 and $7800 for 16622? forget it. however, Omega are quiet cheap there.

dont know if i need to worry about anything when i go through the custom. people on the forum are saying the US custom might take ur Rolex away or something. I'm also bring my Omega with me, can i wear a watch on each hand to avoid the custom?

I strongly suggest you ship your box and everyting by mail, and put you rolex in to your pocket, dont wearing.
cause when you go to the custom,theu will say damn, you got a nice watch on you had
and then they probably will check you watch, soemttimes  they will take it unless you pay the fucking tax to get back.
anyway, good luck bro....

You can't say the watch is for personal use?? coz what im gonna do is keep my both watches in the pocket and hope they wont open my luaggage to find out the box. Last time i wore my omega passing the custom, they didnt even look. maybe they are rolex-sensitive.[s:109]

when you say it's a personal staff, they gonna charge the tax, cause it's a brand new watch. so dont make any trouble of you ,just keeping the watch in you pocket and never ever waer both watchs on your hand. i hope they are not check your luggage...Omega should be fine,cause it's not a brand new and not that expensive..Rolex are more famous than Omage,  everyone knew is, especialy the custom officer, so be careful. I hope you will be fine, and ship the Rolex box and all the satffs by mail, dont put in your pocket,in case they check you bag...

what if i put an empty box in the luaggage and put the watches and the warranty card in my pockets?

even if they search my luaggage, they wont search my pockets, right?

en...when you go through the custom officer table, if you dont show your watch, there is nothing to worry about it, cause they never know you have a watch in you pocket. In the luggage belt area, if the dog smell your luggage, then you will have a trouble, they will take you the the samll room to check you bag. if you dont bring any meat in the luggage you should be fine. otherwise, if they check you luggage they will find a Rolex box,so,,thing about it, they goona frisk.

well, this time i will only bring tea bags not meat. but what i saying is if you write you have nothing to declare, they wont check your luggage unless the dog sit beside my luaggage?

also about the empty box issue, im putting the warranty card in the pocket. even if they find out an empty box, what can they say? i' just bringing an empty box.

when you fill a  declare form, put like some clothes and books, value aroung 100 bucks, if you have a nothing, they are nor believe you , right? or  declare whatever you want to write, that's not a important.
yes, only the dog beside you and smell you, then they will check you bag, try to put a litele 花露水,OR 红花油, on the side of you bag, dogs hate that flavour, they will live you along. I tried before. it's really efficacious
if goes to they find a box, you can say, you bring a empty box for souvenir or something eles. but i am not sure they trust ot not, it's depending on the person who check you bag.
try to not let them check you bag, then everyting goona be fine.

why dont you send a box from hk to la, more easily and safely...

well, in that case, i might just bring the box next time. this time i just bring the warranty card and the watch. and next time just the watch and the box, then they have no reason to say my watch is new.

sure i like the lakers. i live somewhere between pasadena and arcadia. so i hope i will see you in LA.
