怀表，POCKET WATCH ，意为口袋里的表。在16世纪的时候，怀表成为当时人们身份的一种象征。拥有百年以上历史的品牌，大都曾经在那个时期制作过精美的怀表。
18、19世纪是钟表发展的一个鼎盛时期，今天被大家所熟知的各大品牌也在这个时期相继诞生于欧洲。于1889年诞生的瑞士时度表DOXA，是早于劳力士、梅花等众多知名牌的纯正瑞士钟表。

1905年，瑞士时度表的创始人George Ducommun先生当选为比利时世博会的评委会成员，同年，时度表获得比利时世博会“非竞赛”类大奖。

时度表在这个时期开创了个人定制的主题式怀表设计，即可根据顾客的个人喜好，将特定的场景等设计制作在怀表上，因而创造了很多世界上独一无二的怀表。

1906年瑞士时度表DOXA在米兰世博会上取得了“设计及工艺”的金牌。时度表的制表工艺得到了全世界爱表人士的认可和好评。同年，时度表推出的“猎人系列怀表”也取得了相当大的成功，成为了瑞士时度表怀表的经典系列之一。

1914-1915年，瑞士时度表DOXA制作了一款以德国国王威廉二世同奥匈帝国国王弗兰茨.约瑟夫一世的合影为图案的怀表，这款怀表的诞生，足以证明时度怀表当时巨大的影响力以及重要的历史地位。

20世纪初期，随着女性地位的不断提升，时度表以鲜花和女郎为主题进行了雕刻，于当时时尚的“新艺术”遥相呼应，创作出了时度怀表又一经典的系列。
